European CSRD regulations now require companies to measure and declare their carbon footprint, including direct and indirect emissions linked to energy, as well as those linked to the entire value chain, including purchased digital products and services.
In this context, purchasing plays a strategic role in reducing the environmental impact of IT activities. Specifiers and buyers can influence supplier practices by incorporating eco-responsibility criteria.
Developed by INR and the FTCC (French Tech Corporate Community), this reference framework aims to reinforce sustainable practices within organisations and send a signal to the IT market to move towards more sustainable models. This signal is all the stronger for having been drawn up by a large number of major companies from a variety of sectors, including Digital Service Companies.
